|A Lost Sith in a Nameless World - File Description
| Description: |
Mod Rating: Advanced
Wow. Everyone likes new content, right? It gives me great pleasure to review and bring to you a most intriguing mod by FrantFire. Basically you will encounter a new twi'lek character on the Unknown world beach; you may recognize her appearance, its Prime's excellent Darth Talon skin. A great deal of effort has been put into this mod; which certainly shows as you will gain extra dialogue and a small sidequest, the mod is also fully voiced. Which is a big bonus, as personally I greatly struggle with unvoiced dialogue. So if you fancy a bit of added content, which looks and sounds great; check out this mod! Be sure to read the excellent readme regarding compatibility issues and other odds and ends.
Enjoy! -- jonathan7
Please leave the author praise and constructive criticism; which are often far more valuable than rating mods...

KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC

Many times during playing I realised there were many interesting places unused and inhabited at the Unknown world, near the
Ebon Hawk landing point for example. And with beautiful sights. And when I saw Prime's twi'lek from Yuthura Ban to Darth Talon
conversion mod I said "Wow" this is it! this is the female I need right there to give a better use to one of those unused areas. Why not?
a) This mod will spawn a twi'lek female character at the Unknown world landing beach, when you first land after surviving the disruptor field.
She will have Prime's Darth Talon aspect: tatooed skin, sith uniform and a lightsaber. Considering there are many "Darth" already in game
and in all StarWars universe, I changed her name and created a different story for her for you to check out. Find her and see what happens.
b) Finally the mod will also harden a few of the rakatan warriors you'll meet at the planet, making them hard to defeat (increased hitpoints,
challenge rating, strength, awareness, sonic grenades sometimes instead of frag ones, etc.). Basically a little more challenging.
The mod is fully voiced.
3. How to play
Read this only if you want to know exactly what to do ... so, to find the twi'lek after landing at the Unknown world beach, just head to the right
of the Ebon Hawk after killing the rakatan warriors and chatting with the 2 lost duros' aliens. She will be pretty far near some rocks, close to the
sea. You can come later to find her of course. Some dialog options will be available according to your alignment to the force.
And be careful with your manners with her ... remember whom she has been done from!!! ;)
You will need a savegame before arriving to the Unknown world to play the mod.
If you have Prime's "Yuthura Ban to Darth Talon conversion mod" (check it here: http://warpedproductions.echonetwork.net/darthtalon.html)
you can overwrite its files with these ones. Take notice that the disguise item (darthtalon.uti) has a description in my mod, plus increased
defense properties, so if you want to keep a non-personalized disguise keep Prime's mod .uti file. It's up to you, files are compatible.
Just drop everything to your Kotor Override folder, and remove to uninstall; allow to overwrite the .lip files if you already have them
in your Override. If you don't have an override folder create one at C:Program filesLucasArtsSWKotOR or so.
Of course you don't need to delete the .lip and the .nss files if you uninstall. These are the files:
unk41_ithor01.dlg (the initial duros' dialog after first fight)
darthtalon.uti (the disguise)
N_UthuraH.tga (head texture)
twiban01.tga (body texture)
Readme A lost sith on a nameless world mod.txt (this readme)
This mod is compatible with any mod, except those which use the unk41_ithor01.dlg file. Just check your Override folder to see if
this file is not there. If it is, backup your unk41_ithor.dlg and install this mod, and contact me to make it compatible.
If you have any of this mod rakatan warriors .utc files in your Override (the unk41_blk*.utc), backup your .utcs just in case you don't
like my rakatan warriors and allow to overwrite.
Naturally, if you have installed Prime's Yuthura Ban to Darth Talon conversion mod, now you will have 2 tattooed siths in-game ...
twin sisters? ;)
None of importance as far as I have tested. Contact me if you find one.
7. New items or equipments
Only Darth Talon's disguise suit (darthtalon.uti), in case you don't have Yuthura Ban to Darth Talon Conversion Prime's mod installed.
If you have Prime's mod installed, allow to overwrite, BUT remember that this disguise has increased defensive properties than that of
Prime's Yuthura Ban to Darth Talon conversion mod plus a description according to its new owner, so if you want a weaker disguise
or a non-description one just keep Prime's darthtalon.uti (don't overwrite).
You can get additional disguises by cheating of course, type this in the cheat console:
> giveitem darthtalon
Special thanks to:
Prime - for allowing me to use his mod, he did the hard job! :)
Stoffe - Being a guide so many times with scripting through the Holowan Labs.
and anyone else at the Holowan Laboratories - For all the great resources!
and all tool makers of course, we are nothing without them ;)
9. Experience won
You will gain 1050 XP points if you choose to kill Mirka after dialog. Edit through KSE your savegame to subtract this additional XP if you like.
Modify this mod/files if you like, just give me the correspondent credits if you do it and include a link to this mod.
