Description:
An attempt to make ranged weapons suck less in KOTOR1. Because, come on, a ray gun doing the same amount of damage as a plain short sword?
This mod will make blaster Jedi more viable. Even for those who prefer to stick to a lightsaber, it makes your non-Jedi party members more
useful. But be forewarned, it also makes ranged fighters into more dangerous opponents.

Overview

An attempt to make ranged weapons suck less in KOTOR1. Because, come on, a ray gun doing the same amount of damage as a plain short sword?
This mod will make blaster Jedi more viable. Even for those who prefer to stick to a lightsaber, it makes your non-Jedi party members more
useful. But be forewarned, it also makes ranged fighters into more dangerous opponents.

I've increased the damage range of all the blasters and related weapons by the following amounts:

Blaster Pistols (Including Heavy Blaster Pistols): +1d6
Blaster Carbines: +1d8
Blaster Rifles: +1d8
Heavy Repeaters: +1d10
Disruptor Pistols: +1d4
Disruptor Rifles: +1d6
Ion Blasters: +1d4
Ion Rifles: +1d6
Sonic Pistols: +1d4
Sonic Rifles: +1d6


Installation

Just unzip and place the .uti files in your override directory


Conflicts

As far as I know, the only conflict is with Shem's Super Enhanced Mod. If you happen to find another, notify me at the_lark_@hotmail.com

Posts: 27 		I always wondered why people would use swords when they had perfectly good blasters, that don't require strength. It also makes sense to be higher, because blasters are like guns in real life, they fast and deadly. Lightsabers are an exception because the wielder has learned how to use them.

Posts: 20 		This mod is awesome! Makes KOTOR into a whole new game, where Sith troopers die as fast in the game as Imperial Stormtroopers do in the movies! smile I love it! So simple a mod, but so, so cool.

For Jedi, it makes the Jedi Defence feat an absolute necessity (again, just like in the movies, Jedi can't survive without that ability.) It's the first Jedi skill Luke Skywalker ever learned, remember. But, the great thing about Jedi Defence is, at higher levels you can deflect blaster bolts back at your enemies - and this extra damage means that you hurt them badly when you do so.

This mod makes personal shields less valuable, since they don't last long against the extra damage done by blasters in this mod. The loss of an attack round during a fight while activating one isn't worth it anymore - concentrate on killing instead.
