Description:
Of all names to choose from to name your new head, I sometimes think MetalSabre chose the name Black Raven because Raven can easily be mistaken as Revan, especially to someone who is dyslexic, and make them want to check it out. 
MetalSabre does return to an update to his Black Raven mod. This time he made adjustments to the goatee and skin while making a much needed improvement to the portraits. What’s also different about this update is that the head selection that is based off of the character Dopak as its own separate head selection rather than replacing a head in the game that this is for, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
What this means since this time it is its own separate head selection, .2da files are involved, three of them to be exact. The heads, portraits, and appearance files have had added lines put in. Of course if you’re using those types of files already, you will need to know how to do some file merging to make it compatible with the mods you are using already. Of course if you took the time to learn how to do 2da editing, it’s like using a spreadsheet. Just copy the lines you need and add them to your 2da files. If you need to learn how to edit those, just go to Holowan Labs and learn there.
You’ll also need to remove the previous mod if you want the update since this one won’t overwrite it. If you still want this mod to replace the 5th male Caucasian head selection like the last mod release, just rename the MDL, MDX, and TGA files to the names of the last release. Enjoy the mod! 
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

'Cause of some good tips from hjkinferno and Shem about the goattee and the portraits.
The goattee is now smaller, portraits are much better.
Also, this mod no longer replaces the red caucasian head, but is now another selectable head.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Unzip the BlackRaven_Remake.zip file to any location.
Open KOTOR II directory, find and open Override folder(If you don't have an Override folder, make one.).
Copy the files to the Override folder. You can close the Override folder.
Start a new game and select the new head.
PERMISSIONS: Don't distribute this to anywhere but this site.
Making mods based on/using this mod is fine, but give me the creds for the original.

but I think names from birds just sound cool, like Hawk or Crow.
And maybe, yes, I stuck a little with KOTOR tradition without knowing,
by naming it Raven, instead of Revan.
I didn't do it on purpose however.
Might as well have named him Black Goat or something....
I think it really is being made into a bigger issue than it is worth, tough.
It is, after all, about the head itself.

but yeah the head is very nice. side burns and the beard are done perfectly if you intend to play a dark side game, and the eyes go good with the face as well. |
