Description:
Maximka makes his FileFront modding debut today, with this mod for the second Knights of the Old Republic game, better known to use fans as Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This mod adds a new selectable head for your player, this head being the Lord of Hunger, Darth Nihilus of the Sith Triumvirate. Well, I say head, it gives you the body too, as Darth Nihilus head and Body are all in the same model.
The mod has been done as well as it can be, I think, especially since the Nihilus model is missing a lot of animations that the standard player and NPC models have, as it was never meant to be used by the player, and thus was only given the animations that Nihilus character would actually need and use. Unfortunately for us modders, he didn't need that many.  The author has included a portrait, which is a nice professional touch too.
This mod does use the wonderful TSL Patcher tool, made by the no less wonderful stoffe , so installation is very easy indeed. Just double click the .exe file, and it will install the mod for you and patch the 2da files if need be.
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

DESCRIPTION: I always liked to play as Darth Nihilus in TSL, using one of the various Mods that give you his robes to equip. But it always annoyed me that there where moments where you couldn’t wear his robes like Telos or when you fight with the Handmaiden. Also you still had the usual player portrait. So I decided to make this Mod, which adds Darth Nihilus to the character selection and includes also a new portrait for him.
INSTALLATION: Run TSL-Patcher, select your TSL Folder (usually C:/Program Files/LucasArts/SwKotor2) and play!
BUGS: None are known to me, except the usual Nihilus-Bugs (missing animations etc.) If you find any Bugs, please contact me at my email address and I will try to fix them.
PERMISSIONS: This mod may be used in any other Mods as long as I get credit.

Posts: 229 | There are around 5000 mods that will give you an item to make you look like Nihilus, but this is the first one I've seen to make him a playable character without such items.

I Clicked "Program Files" Then "LucasArts" Then "SWKotOR2"
Then I pressed the button "Run"
It said it was installed successfully.
I ran Knights of the Old Republic 2
And I can't play as him

Posts: 5 | This is a very well done modification. Although there are some animation bugs that are mentioned in the readme. Some that i have discovered were that in the prologue, when your character is supposed to be lying down, Nihilus is standing on the bed. Plus he doesnt float in the kolto tank, and there are no animations for him weilding a double bladed weapon (he will be stuck in what ever stance or animation he was in before switching to a two handed weapon). But these bugs are nothing to worry about as long as you use a single-handed weapon (there are really cool animations for him waving his lightsaber around). But with all of that said, i give this mod a perfect scor of 10/10. |
