Dead Sword - File Description

Inyri Forge is back yet again, with another mod for the original Knights of the Old Republic game. This mod gives you a new sword to play with called the 'Dead Sword' from the game Guild Wars.

Both the model and texture Inyri has made are accurately done to resemble the original, though as with any 3D mod, the author has made some slight alterations to make the model more her own. The only real differences I can see, (having not played Guild Wars) are in the texture. On the original, there were some extra details that if they were added to this KotOR version really wouldn't be noticed in game, so missing them out won't have detracted from your experience using this weapon. Try Googling the original sword to see what I mean.

This item isn't available anywhere in the game, so you will either have to cheat it in or use the KSE to add it to your inventory. All in all, this is a well executed mod of good quality that is a definite download for any fans of Guild Wars or cool swords in general!

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the above named files from your override folder.

DESCRIPTION: Yet another Guild Wars sword that I thought might be a challenge for me. This particular sword can be found on the corpses of various undead creatures in its original game. I have recreated it fairly well I think for KotOR, and you can spawn it ingame (as with any item mod) by using its tag/resref: giveitem dead_sword

From the thumbnail I was sure it was Soul Reaver. Still, great design.

I must say, I love this sword. I downloaded it from your website last year, and it has been in my permanent inventory ever since. I even put it into a few screenshots of my own. The one and only way that this could possibly be improved is to make it available in game. I am glad to finally see this available on Filefront. Two Thumbs Up!

I must note that this sword goes great with the wookiee culture, so it fits in best with them. If you were going to make this sword available in game, it would best be done getting it from a wookiee.

Keep up the great work!

That is a wicked cool sword, but if you read, it's a sword from Guild Wars. stick out tongue 10/10.

If you don't like the mod, that's fine. This was not the way to go about saying it, however. What you should have done is to provide some constructive criticism and tell Inyri exactly what you don't like about it, not post offensively like this.

As a modder, i'm sure Inyri would have been more than happy to recieve feedback, so you've got no excuse for posting this.

Let's not do this again, ok? ~M

I am more than happy to receive constructive criticism. It helps me grow as a modder. Also the sword is not meant to be pretty... it's made out of a skull. It's meant to reflect undead culture, and I've never seen a skeleton/zombie/ghoul/etc that was meant to be pretty.

Well, except Edward Cullen, but that's something different entirely and we don't need to go there. stick out tongue

Oh come on now Inyri--Frostmourne in WOW is also a skull-based blade, and quite the attractive accessory...from a certain perspective...long live the Horde BTW... wink

Love the sword but I'd much prefer if it was placed in-game.
