Fellow staff member, SithRevan definitely has been busy with modding the Knights of the Old Republic games. After releasing a TSL mod, he’s also got one for the original Knights of the Old Republic game. Gotta keep people happy on both ends, right? wink

This particular mod is a new launcher taken off the artwork from the “Best of PC” pack version of Knights of the Old Republic. The author did mess around with different shadings and colorings for the style of launcher to please people who like to have different types of tastes of what is their favorite. There are three different types of launcher styles to choose from. Also this new launcher plays Bastila’s theme music when getting ready for launch.

I do like the style of launcher, but as some of you may know that I’m not a big fan of launchers, especially since I never use it to open my game. I just open the game without showing the launcher. It’s much faster. But some people love looking at the launcher to get them prepared mentally for their game play, and it’s easy to get bored of the same thing over and over again, so yes new launchers do work out well for the community. Enjoy the new launcher! big grin

	Readme File: ============================================ A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC I MODIFICATION ============================================ AUTHOR: SithRevan EMAIL: sithrevan@kotor2files.com NAME: Kotor best of the PC launcher CREDITS: SithRevan FILENAME: k1_bpc_launcher.zip FILE SIZE: 13.5 MB DATE RELEASED: 12.19.06 DESCRIPTION: This mod switches the launcher to the one found in the Kotor best of the PC edition. This luancher was not taken from the actual best of the pc game rather it was copied down to the last detail so it would work for this edition of Kotor. So please enjoy this as I know I enjoyed making it for you guys. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just click on the setup program, select which edition of the launcher you want to install, press the install button and let the patcher do it's thing. UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Click on the setup program, go to the drop down menu and select the "Original Kotor Launcher" option, the press the install button and let the patcher do it's thing. COMMENTS: I had a wonderful experience doing this launcher as it was a real stretch trying to replicate the Kotor best of the pc launcher. I actually got my inspiration from a post on lucasforums about it and I decided that from there I wanted to make it. BUGS: None that I know of except for the fact at some points the buttons may look a little funny and that is just speculation. All in all no major or really minor problems to report. PERMISSIONS: I really do not care where you put this mod as long as my name and the names of anybody who helped me get credit for this.
