HALFMIKE Joined: December 29th, 2005 Posts: 1 | DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL 6?
I JUST DOWNLODED ALL 6, AND WHEN I INSTALLED THEM THE PROGRAM ONLY ASKED FOR 1 AND 2. I LOOKED THROUGH THE FILES AND (AT A GLANCE) THE FILES WERE REPEATED IN 3-6.
IF ANYONE CAN COMMENT ON THIS I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT |

And, I think I will wait until Mister Shouty Pants's question is answered. |

5com25po91ser Joined: December 25th, 2006 Posts: 16 | I'm not sure I want to download this. I mean, I didn't find myself 'squinting' at the movies before...in fact, I thought they looked fine. I suppose they could be better, but do they really need to be? Maybe someone could tell me why this makes the movies 2 gigabytes' worth better; then I'll try downloading. I will try and download the music patch though...maybe it won't be synthesized anymore. Maybe they had a real acoustic orchestra and choir perform it... Maybe if I look out my window right now I'll see flying pigs... |

_NRN_R_Fast_Eddie From: Joined: March 19th, 2005 Posts: 628 | ... is due to the fact that some people get their internet cut off or their downloads otherwise interrupted and need to re-download certain parts over again. Simple logic right? |
Shadow51689 Joined: July 9th, 2003 Posts: 278 | Has anyone else who's recently downloaded these files found that part 6 has corrupt files?
Just as installation was finishing up, and it had extracted part 6.rar, I got a warning that a file was corrupt, and install was aborted.
Two files from the music patch were corrupted aswell, but it still installed the rest of the files...
I'm beginning to suspect something wrong with my primary HDD. |
horsedrowner Joined: September 11th, 2005 Posts: 46 | I've got no problems at downloading, it gave no error during "install", but I keep seeing the low-res movies.
I've downloaded it (not from filefront however), "installed" it without any errors, but tsl only plays a low-res movie. When I use rad video tools and get the info for 'jump to hyperspace'/HypMov01.bik, it says 1600x680 Help me please... |
jedijax From: (Mexico) Joined: September 16th, 2007 Posts: 23 | I spent the whole evening downloading the six parts of the download, and when I installed them, at the very end, the thing gave me some "Need X7 part, insert correct disc" message!! The installer could not complete the file copy and I ended punching my pc out of frustration. Has anybody suffered the same thing? If so, what is there to do??
Nevermind the last comment... I just realized you seem to need the music patch too... Well, IT SHOULD BE CLEARLY INSTRUCTED!!!... Sniff!, now to put some bandages on my poor Blue Dream... (my punched pc) |
JediExcel Joined: November 15th, 2007 Posts: 32 | Just a heads up here. With Vista, this doesn't work (sound no pictures at start). I know it's not my processor or memory since I have Athlon 64 dual core and 2 gb of ram |
lendog Joined: December 5th, 2007 Posts: 1 | A lot of you are complaining the movie patch doesn't work and still showing low-res movies. Here is the problem, the movies files that are high res are 1600x680 or 1600x1200, widescreen movie, if your monitor does not support these resolutions, the in-game Bink player defaults to the original size.
My monitor doesn't support these resolutions, so I decided to resize the movies to a resolution that should be handled by most monitors, the quality is still not there, three things determine quality in audio/video, source, processor, output, if the source is bad, doesnt matter about the processor or output(monitor), it will still look like crap.
One file took me almost 2 1/2 hours to convert to a better resolution, after all that time, it still looked bad.
Worth the download? Not really, unless your monitor supports these resolutions, and even then, it still isnt that great because of the original file quality of these movies. |

blakafrika From: (Sunshine Coast) Joined: April 28th, 2009 Posts: 32 | This worked great for me and fixed all of the crashes I had with the originals. Does anyone know though if the same thing done with these movies had been done for the Original Kotor game? Either way I'll rate this 10/10 great job. |
Nickious From: (AR) Joined: July 11th, 2008 Posts: 161 | Is it really worth it? Personally I don't like trying to download 2gbs worth of content especially if its not a whole game. |
77cat Joined: July 31st, 2009 Posts: 25 | Same problem here, still in low-res... and another one: I've got now english dialogs in the movies (french before).
Why I didn't make any backups ?! For those who are not english spoken people, don't patch the movies without a copy of yours bik files (to avoid the need to reinstall the game to extract the original files if something goes wrong). |
