Description:

New skins are always fun. They can bring something fresh to a game that you've played multiple times before, giving them a new lease of life. Today, Canderis brings us a skin mod for the first Knights of the Old Republic game. This mod takes the default scout clothing, and reskins it to look more like the outfit you see the Rebel Soldiers aboard the Tantive IV wearing in the original Star Wars film.

He seems to have got the skin fairly accurate, but IIRC, the Rebel Soldiers in the film had grey-blue shirts and trousers (pants). The author has also reskinned the Republic Soldier helmets to look more like the Rebel helmets too, which is a nice touch. This mod also replaces the Republic Soldier uniforms in the game with the new Rebel Soldier outfit.

The author has used the TSL Patcher for easy installation, which makes life easier for those of you with no 2da editing experience. Just double-click the installer and the Patcher will do the rest. big grin

So, if a new look for the Republic Soldiers and you PC is what you're after, give this a download and try it out!

yeah, so if you use this and the sith to empire mod, you could have the real original trilogy experience!

doesn't work, the helmet changes, but nothing else, they still wear that wierd orange and yellow suit

Well, Trask wears the scout uniform rebel thing, but everyone else is into orange yellow, I'll call it OY.

Could be a glitch that happens sometimes when saving a .2da file. Happened to me on my pc clothes-republic outfits mod. Ill fix.

It is fixed and pending approval here and There is already jango's armor but no helmet. I could not make the CIS droid as I can't model.

I cant update it as the new version is pending it will be released soon. I cant do it for them as i am not a staff member.
to find the jango armor Google search: kotormods.t-k then translate the page as it is Russian.

does this change all republic troops in the game, such as on manaan and in cutscenes, or just on the endar spire? looks awesome though, downloading now.

hey this is missing the body for the soldiers it only has the head and the bodys for the scout class.

This mod rocks but their bodies are still wearing the republic uniform please help i tried editing the 2da file myself but it still didn't work Cry

The problem i found out is they don't have clothes equipped
