Mod: Skip Peragus v1.2
Note:

This mod allows you to skip through the vast majority of Peragus. To use it just start playing through the game as you normally would, but follow the instructions that you receive from the Medical terminal, and later on the Security terminal. If you do you'll get to Telos in under fifteen minutes.
This mod is designed to avoid skewing the game balance as much as possible, but I do give out a lightsaber (and color crystals) and a pair of weak Jedi Robes, and I do this for the sole reason that it is morally wrong to have to wait until you are done Peragus, Telos, and a third planet to get a lightsaber.
If you have installed a previous version of this mod then delete all of your existing files before installing the new.
Version 1.1 of this mod corrects two small problems, one involving the force chain feat, and one other involving a global boolean connected to Visas. It's all good now.
Version 1.2 adds one item for T3M4 that I didn't know was unique.
Installation:

In this RAR file there is a directory called "Override". Just put everything in that directory in your KOTOR 2 Override directory. If you haven't created a folder called "Override" in your KotOR 2 directory than just copy the folder into your KotOR 2 directory. Once you've done that you'll be ready to go. Start a new game and play away.
Uninstallation:

Delete all of the included files from your override directory.
Compatibility:

If this mod isn't compatible with any other Mod it is a freak co-incidence.

I installed it into the override folder. When I come to the med terminal or security terminal, the whole thing goes blank and I don´t see any writing on it any more, and cannot leave the screen. Propably a bug. I have patch 1.0b installed, and it is not working :-( |

You do not have to be the little ts bot and go around the Hawk collecting parts
You do not have to go through the mines
You do not have to destroy the drod at the end of Peragus
You are still on Peragus next to the Hawk taking off to the next planet
Oh yah, you are given a light saber and utlities
See the "Sith Lord walk through" for the next planet telos
You have to take care of business |

till i came to the acedemy on telos. when i had the conversation with atris, i had to get my friends out of jail. they werent there. they were in the room where i had the atris conversation. and if i want to ask them to come along. i can choose 2 options.
skip to kreia conversation or skip to atris converstion. non works and i cant leave the acedemy because atton and kreia wont com along with me.
so plz help me with this |

Posts: 9 | Ok, when you start the Game you go through the start, talking to Kreia and using the Plasma Torch. Find the Vibroblade on the droid and make your way down through some droids. Next Terminal is the one next to lockers with the Holorecords. Choose Skip Peragus and then your options (Revan Man or Woman, Revan Dark or Light, Atton like or dislike, Kreia like or dislike, kill bird and show to child or save bird(DS/LS)). You are then next to the Hawk with Atton and T3 and you have enough Experience for level 8. NPC's Level 7. |

Posts: 20 | I've used this mod several times and each time it freexes the game when you pop up next to the Ebon Hawk. It shows my PC and Atton and T3, makes the chime sound, and stops. i have to use ctrl alt delete to exit the game from there, nothing else works. Any idea how to fix this? Anyone? |

Posts: 3 | Ok Ok, I've worked it out. When it fades in to the part with u, atton & T3 by the Ebon Hawk, IMMIDEATLEY click on the button that shows ur Inventory List. then, click Close, then, it'll freeze, BUT, Press Esc on ur keyboard, and then it un-freezes. Worked fine for me!

Posts: 1 | ok, ok. So I noticed a bunch of people are freezing next to the Ebon Hawk. Easy fix.Open up the OVERIDE folder, scroll down to the files ss_gift and ss_giveitem, or something along those lines, and delete them. Now play through skipping peragus with the computer terminals and it should work. |

Well, I can't help you since I don't use this mod. As strange as it seems to you, I do like Peragus. The author of this mod does not frequent this site, so do not rely on him coming here for technical support. Hopefully the people who use this mod can help. game. This is the bots game where he allows the escape hatch on the admin level to be opened before getting zapped by the bad droid.

These are the following steps to fixing the freezing problem after the warp to the Ebon Hawk: (make sure you read the note on the bottom of this comment)
1) Go to the closest terminal to the Kolto Tank that you were in. It is across from the morgue. (the morgue is where you find Kreia)
2) Use the terminal and choose: option 1- I want to skip Peragus
3) Then choose: option 1- Open morgue
4) Go into the morgue and search the corpse (not Kreia) to get the plasma torch and talk to Kreia
5) Once your done talking to Kreia go through the damaged door and continue on through the spider droids and stop once you get to the Security Desk. Save the game. (you'll see why)
You may not want to get the items in there because you are supposed to use the security desk right when you get to it.
6) Accept to answer the questions
7) Answer the questions how you like. (these determine your influence with Atton and Kreia. And wether you get all of the dark or light points possible in peragus)
8) Once your done answering the questions you should warp to the Ebon Hawk with Atton and T3-M4. (you will have all of the items on Peragus in your inventory)
9) If the game freezes just simply press the escape button -> (Esc)<- that button
If that does not work, read the note. (below)
Note: Go to your Override folder (usually in C:/Program Files/LucasArts/SWKotOR2/Override) and remove/delete the file ss_gift
Then completely exit the game then open it again and do steps 5-9 again. |

Posts: 1 | I got screwed over by a bug in Telos and want to skip Peragus, but whenever I get to the medical console it just goes into console mode - and gives me no options. I can't log off, the screen is just a blank computer thing. I have to press altf4 to get out and it's really annoying. I haven't patched the game yet and it is in German, could either of those two things be an issue? The language shouldn't be, and if it is I have to start all over again.
Yes yes I know seperate slots and so on. Too late now. |

Posts: 155 | I experienced the freezing thing too and found 2 ways to deal with it. 1: Pressing Escape works most of the time to unfreeze it and 2: If you wait for like... 10 minuites, it unfreezes... freaky. Anyway, I've had this mod for about a week and I love it. I never wanna have to play Peragus again. Evil mining droids... just put an ion grenade in front of him and you're done... oh well. Back to my point, I give this mod a 10/10 |

The file is a .RAR file, this means that you have to download winzip to use it, simply go to: http://www.winzip.com, download the FREE evaluation, and then install it, now use winzip to extract the file to your override folder. Then, when you first get to play with your main character, and you get to the security console in the room with the lockers, acces the security console, and click on SKIP PERAGUS. It's that easy.. lol, that is one long post XD. |

I have a question, however: Normally, I've figured out a way to gain influence with Kreia AND Atton (At the part on the Harbinger). Does this mod allow you to do that when you skip? I had noticed it says you can choose to "Be nice to Kreia or Atton", but does it allow you to choose both?

Just one thing that should be wrtitten in the readme : when you're warped to the ebon hawk hangar, THE GAME FREEZES BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET MULTIPLE ITEMS + XP + INFLUENCE ETC THE WINDOW MESSAGE DOESN'T APPEAR. That's why when you hit escape you get back to normal. For all those who complained about that.
Also for those who see nothing on the computers : you have to make the dialog files compatible with english (or your tlk). Search for tools to change language on kotor related forums. |

1 issue i found is when u skip u still have the quest rescue (fullname) the one when u first get T3, its not a big issue to me, but i guess that is a bug because i dont think the quests supposed to be there |

No way in hell I'm going through that again. But give us a choice of whether or not we want to skip it. It's cool when you want to, but if you try to play through Peragus normally, it's a real pain in the backside. |

Unfortunately I did have a few issues with this mod.
FIrst as someone said the Peragus quests are not designated as "completed" - and you dont get the right amount of experience for completing peragus if you skip ahead.
Also when you skip ahead without the cut scene for the arrival of the harbinger being triggerred I noticed that when you leave the bay there is nothing there firing at the Ebon Hawk.
Second is the items you get or dont get. Everything you could earn from looting peragus is skipped, and all the money you get is skipped too.
You dont get given any of it really. You get bare bones equipment and money.
And third is the freezing issues - i found if u go into ur menu and back out you can move your characters but why does this happen in the first place?

Also, and this might not be from this mod, but when I choose a planet on the galaxy map, it returns me to the main menu with the only option of NEW GAME. Of course, when you click on it, it doesn't work, so you always have to exit the game thru ctl-alt-del, which is a big pain. Tell me, anybody, if you encounter the same bug. |

Posts: 18 | No sorry the only bugs ive encountered with Skip Peragus are the following:
The Freezing bug which is solved by hitting ESCAPE.
And the game doesnt flat the prologue and peragus quests as complete when you skip ahead. Which it really should do.
Only the Galactic History quest should be waiting to be done.
Ive also noticed something else, that when you dont want to skip ahead it completely buggers the game.
You hit the "Play Through Normally" choice. It appears to not let you access the Medical or Security Consoles normal functions therefore you cant really progress. |

When I go to main hold to fight them I am relieved there are none but I can see Atton swinging his plasma torch in the air and kreia doing the same with a sword, there were two troopers left but I do see none. I seem to be just running around the Hawk but I keep on seeing on the top **2 SITHTROOPERS REMAIN**. help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. I hate Peragus though ; )

still have the problem with 6 troopers now and they have the upperhand over my level one character (because i thought i would level up on telos) if any help is denied than I may as well delete the mod

Posts: 1 | I've dowloaded this file into a folder named Overrides under my KOTOR2 files. I've dowloaded WinZIP. I've deleted and restarted my game about 10 times, and every time I go to the Security Console in the room with the lockers, past two robot rooms and an empty room, it shows me "Console Functions" and "Holo-recordings". I cant seem to make this work right. Any ideas?
((I wouldn't be skipping Peragus if it didn't run awfully on my machine (okay, maybe I would...) but I can't even play the game unless I skip it. I somehow managed to manuever the tunnels choppily the first time through, but now it's just unplayable, whereas nothing else was this bad but Peragus before. I think if I can skip it, I'll be able to save a file on the Ebon Hawk and just play that from now on, but first I have to get it to work.)) |

It could be with the fact that you are overloading (when you get so much exp and items all at once). I don't know abot it but you have the atton thingy about revan at the desk itself. |

Posts: 36 | To fix the freeze when you show up at the Ebon Hawk, press the "Esc" key on your keyboard to make the game work. The reason for this is that the game thinks you are still using the menu to go thorugh your inventory (and add the items that are given to you). Or something like that, but just press the "Esc" key.
Also, you don't get the sonic imprint thingy, so how are you apposed to use the HK Factory mod? |

yes i had the same problem, and also if you beat all the troopers without letting any in the ship it still goes onto the turret again but theres no troopers!!

Posts: 4 | Ok. i get to the security terminal, answer all the questions then it transports me to the Hangar with the Ebon Hawk in it with atton and T3-M4. I can move the camera around and move the mouse but i cant move my character, swich characters, access any of the menus, talk to any of the characters, or level up (cliking on the picture). Then it starts playing random sounds; i heard lightsaber sounds (not in combat), HK-47 talking (i want to say its from swkotor 1), and I heard Bastila. I'm going to try updating the game to see if that works.
Now the game isn't updating, i got part of the first one and it just goes to saying:
Connecting... ftp.lucasarts.com
and stays there. so i decided to try again and now the game wont start! I click the icon to start the game and it waits 10 sec and the error window pops up.
Someone help! |

The Sith have boarded the ship. Than Loading/(Auto) Saving/Loading and again Atton:"We've got company!" The Sith have boarded the ship than load/save/load and this it's keep going on and on and on. @My Problem:
I'm playing the game with this mod and 2 others. The Holowan Plugin (which I hope to upload to KOTORFiles soon, once I get the creator's permission ) and the Ultimate Saber Mod. My game crashes when:
Atris pulls out your lightsaber
The Holorecord of your trial plays.
I fixed the problem by removing the mod. I just wanna know why this mod messes up the game. |

Posts: 30 | changed my mind. i actually used the mod rather than just complaining and not seeing how it actually worked. my bad everyone, i was just getting upset over nothing. the fact that you dont just magically pass through is mainly because you need to level up first (for some reason to be force sensitive). so you need to get into combat and then right after that at the next computer you answer questions about who you want to influence and whether you want to be light or dark sided. in all, its a brilliant system and the questions are put in an interesting way. not just simple "Which Alignment?"
1. Light
2. Dark
Instead the questions are phrased in a way that makes it interesting every time. pure genius!
perfect mod for what people are going to be downloading it for. 10/10

Posts: 3 | Okay, revision-the cutscene with Atris doesn't start, but when I talk to Atton (who's just standing next to the door where I entered), I get two options both labeled Cheat Node: continue the conversation with Kreia (does nothing) or jump to the Atris confrontation. The latter command does work, but I run into glitches after that-Atton and Kreia are unconscious/resting as they should be, but still at the front entrance door, Bao-Dur is as he should be in his place, and T3 is where he should be, but the only dialogue I get with him acts like he's already joined the party-no options to get him out, and without him, I can't leave Telos.
Or would this bug be from another mod? I've installed the manual official patch for the game, and the Brianna/Exile love mod at present. |

Posts: 1 | Everything works for me! I put everything into the Override folder and when in Peragus I went to the medical terminal. There are two options - skip Peragus or play it normally. If you wish to skip it, then you get an option to open the morgue door. After that, play Peragus as you'd normally do till the security terminal further ahead. Once there, you'll get a series of questions, which you have to answer (must gain a level before that I suppose). TADA! After completing the test you spawn at the Ebon Hawk together with Atton and T3-M4! |

Posts: 8 | this mod sc**s... i am having an issue of freezing not at the point where you are warped to the ebon hawk, but at the point where the game suddenly autosaves after the turrent minigame, i have deleted the ss_gift part of this mod and still nothing, i believe that this mod does not give you enough items and experiance, however the use of some cheatcodes fixes this, i think this mod was a good idea but needs to be looked over again to fix these bugs, i believe this mod is having some conflictions against some other mods i have installed in my override folder. overall i feel that this mod isnt worth my time looking threw it and modifying it so that it wont conflict with other mods (if it is) or possibly redo the coding of it. i also believe this mod should be removed from this site. i hope someone does fix this mod eventually but as of right now it is doing more harm than good

after deleting this mod, and playing threw Peragus, i get to the part after the turrent minigame once you board the ebon hawk, then the game autosaves and loads the next scene, the game freezes and crashes... even tho i have deleted whole mod... because it is against the rules to use cursing or swear words i will not say what is really going threw my mind at this time, but this what kind of horsemanure is that? well one thing to note, the items that you get from the mod at the starting point, where you enter what looks to be the security office room, and you use the security terminal to answer the questions before you warp(this is if you have the mod) to the right of that there is a locker, where the author of the mod has put a few items such as robes and 2 lightsabers... well even after deletion of this mod these items remained, so idk if i deleted every file this mod had or if that was the main cause of the games crashing, i am going to attempt to get rid of these items from my inventory just before boarding the ebon hawk and see if that helps, is there a way to delete certain items via notepad? anyways i am going to post what happend next, sorry for the tripple post(saying sorry in advance) |

Posts: 8 | i guess what ever is part of the mod is still in the game itself even tho the mod is deleted, which is simply perffect..... i dont know if avoiding the security locker will help or not because thoes items in there, plus what ever items were changed by the author are still in the game itself no matter what, someone please help me with this before assasinate a tree! |

Posts: 147 | None of these suggestions solve my problems, whenever I go to the administration computer all I can do is shut off the field over the prison block. So, I did that. Went to Atton and used the comm. When I was T3 I went to the hangar terminal and I couldn't select it. Then the hangar door opened so I figured I'd go in. When I got to the Ebon Hawk and killed all the sith with the turret. It freezes. Escape did nothing but close the window. What the..? |

Posts: 143 | I think I just found a bug: If you decide you want to play through, you can't, because when you take control of T3-M4 the first time there, the wrong door is open and you can't access the control console to open the right one. |

if I have this mod installed and I chose to play it like you're suppose to, there is a malfunction. When you gain control of T3, you cannot get the part you need for the controls to open the fuel thingie door and the hanger 25 door is open.
the reason I want to skip is that this mod does not include influence with T3, only Krea and Atton, which is a crying shame, maybe in v1.3, if you make one, you could include T3 as well.
it works perfectly otherwise, I have both this and skip Telos and they work fine. |

Posts: 3 | Basicly i will get to ice temple after skipping, nothing else has gone wrong....but when i get to the ice temple all of the handmaidens have gone... can slide my mouse over them and my mouse says there there but there bodys are not.
the Handmaiden is there for the scenes where she has tto talk, the others are not, if i try to leave the game crashes |

Ive noticed the 532MB override file (lots of mods) they all work just fine when you do what your supposed to, despite what other people say about mods not working. Just a Tip - Readmes are there for a reason... |

Posts: 23 | I found a glitch where you can fight Visas with ur lightsaber! you don't need to do it if Bao-Dur is in your party i guess but if you battle her without a lightsaber you do the talking.and run to Bao-Dur as soon you finish talking with her and ask for him to build your lightsaber.Only possible with all 3 (or 4?) lightsaber parts!
NOTE: Not your lightsaber that you tell Atoon about the one you built idiot! Lol jk you no idiot if you read this jk!
