Description:
I know for a fact that there will be several people out there that will be happy to see that someone finally made a mod like this. That’s right folks; you can skip Taris and go strait to Dantooine to become a Jedi and one of my favorite modders, Lit Ridl made it all possible.
What else is there to say? You skip Taris. It’s that simple. Well, you will get all the items you can collect from Taris, like Brejik’s items, the experience points you would have received and of course the party members (Carth, Mission, Zaalbar, Bastila, T3-M4, and Canderous) you would have recruited during that portion of game play. Within seconds you have everything recorded as if you had done that portion of the game. You didn’t do it yourself, but the game will think you did. I know many people don’t like doing Taris because your PC doesn’t get to be a Jedi, use Force Powers and a lightsaber. I can understand that. Personally, I love doing Taris and I know I’m not alone. I really enjoy that part of the game because it is so different from the rest of it. Plus it feels like doing something close to Coruscant. I love doing the duel arena in the Upper City Cantina and especially taking out Bendak Starkiller. I do know that many people miss doing the Jedi thing, which is why most people bought the game. Well, now you can just skip the non-Jedi part and get to your Jedi training right away.
This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation. Make sure you read the readme file because you will have choices to make which side of the Force you want to go and the choices you will have when playing your game. You’re about to cut out at least a couple of hours of game play or more (it take me about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes to complete both the Endar Spire and Taris). Have fun! 
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. The author for this mod really worked hard to make it work, so please take the time to thank him.

Super Skip Taris & Endar Spire
For Knights of the Old Republic I
Installing mod:
Nothing special. Just one ask to you: NEVER USE THIS INSTALLER TWICE ON THE SAME DIALOG, OR YOU’LL GET THE SECOND OPTION IN TRASK’S DIALOG FOR EVERY SKIP!!!
About mod:
This mod will modify Trask’s dialog giving it some extra dialog options.
There are 3 additional options (Skip Endar Spire, LS skip Taris, DS skip Taris.)
Reason why it is called super:
• It has both LS and DS skip Taris options
• No need in replacing something
• All items from standard game-play will be given to you
• It will add all party members that you get on Taris to your party (Carth, Bastila, Mission, etc)
• It sets all globals and Booleans to the right LS/DS value, that prevents your game from the doom
• It gives you alignment/experience points and credits, the same amount with the standard game-play
• You will not lose any quests, they are added when mod is activated

Posts: 343 | i must say im not bias twards taris or dantooine but in a way i like how taris is a city like no othere and stuff but its a bit long and sometimes frustrateing after doing it o say 10 times so i think they should make a mod with terminals you see through normal game and make it say somthing like skip ahead 10%-20%-40%80%skiptaris all so you chose what imeline your in =) |

oh and i like dantione its well just for senic then tairs but its a bit boreign because theres su[osed to be a small city when you talk with that murder quest they mention a city or port that you never get to see that would of made it a bit beter if only someone made a mod to add that on it would add to dantione any ways 10/10 |

You say that as if you had a gun put to your head and you were forced to play with this mod when playing KOTOR.
If you read my review, most people play KOTOR because they love being a Jedi, using Force Powers, and fighting with a lightsaber. You don't get to do that on Taris. |

As for this mod itself; Shem said that if you do not like this mod, then do not download it; no one is forcing you to use it.
As for my opinion about it, I do not say that it is goood or bad, for I do not mind playing as a non-Jedi(although sometimes I get so infuriated about not having Cure or Heal powers instead of medpacs :furious. And even if I do mind, I still would not use this mod, for it spoils the pleasure(OK, I have now so many mods installed that I cannot discern what it was to play the game without them, but still...). |

I tried to put them in my module too, but that didn't work. I tried to exclude certain files such as change and skip taris, and add in the rest into overdrive. I don't know how to make it work, can someoen help me? |

And mods aren't required to be downloaded guys. They are for people who want the effects of them. If you like Taris, then play it! Don't say that it is a stupid idea just because it changes something you don't want changed.
I personally can see why some people like Taris, however, it takes up quite a bit of time and... NO JEDI!!! ( T_T ) Hence why I like this mod. XD |

Posts: 88 | When I choose 'Skip taris LS', it skips the Endar Spire too (I need the endar spire for a Revan mod). Since I need to open a door on the ES for one of the mods I use I ended the first dialog with Trask and completed the open door action.
Then I spoke with Trask again to get the 'Skip Taris' option but he never gives the option again, so I tried to continue the level but Trask seemed to be stuck towards the beginning of the level (by where we watch the Jedi kill the dark jedi).
Also, I can't get the Carth dialog to to trigger. I need to speak with him to get the romance with female Revan and to get the side quest to find Dustil. I can't trigger C. Ordo's war story dialogs, either. Bastila & Mission trigger the right dialogs still, so far.
This is a great mod, I just need the right dialogs to trigger for the game play to be complete.

Posts: 1 | I'm having a problem installing the mod. I extract it to my desktop, then run the installer, but it says that there are already files in my Override folder. I had previously installed it, but then deleted all the files because it was not working right. There is nothing in my Override and yet it kept saying it. After retrying it several times, I got fed up and reinstalled my game, deleting everything. It still does it. Even after actually deleting my entire Override folder it still says it. What am I doing wrong?! |

Posts: 2 | Unique issue.. When I pick any option, it forces me into a glitched Ebon Hawk, one without any rooms or any way out. Only real way out is by warping. Only one here experiencing it? It also happens even if I don't pick any options and finish Endar Spire like normal. |

Posts: 5 | Well, I thought I'd use this mod to skip ahead past Taris since I just finished it in another game and had my merchants broken by a robe replacement mod. Lucky me that I found this...except that my game crashes after cutscene with Malak.
Sigh. If only all these wonderful KOTOR mods worked... |

Posts: 7 | awesome mod,but,im the kind of person who likes to sit down and play through things normally,but i have a similar mod idea,and to any modders i have a great idea:the more levels you obtain on taris,the less jedi levels you will get.(catch my drift?)so why not get no Xp whatsoever on the endire spire and on taris,that way we will obtain more jedi levels and force powers and feats.in the mod make the character gain no xp,but instead of XP give him/her a set of Uber god armor and an insta-kill rifle and pistol and vibrosword. so you wont be able to level up until you get to Dantooine and become a Jedi. so please any modders out there make a mod like the one in my comment.Thanks! |

Posts: 18 | I personally love playing Taris (especially the Duel Arena) but I'm going to get this and use it for a few reasons:
1. I JUST played through the game a little bit ago and since I played through Taris a little bit ago and don't want to this time.
2. It's optional - like you can actually choose in-game not to do it (or at least that's what I can tell), so I don't have to skip Taris permanently like I had to with the Endar Spire in this other mod I used (apparently Brotherhood of Shadows - Solomon's Revenge can mess with the modules for the Endar Spire (though I HIGHLY recommend BoS:SR)).
3. I can save my level-ups and keep them for Dantooine (which I will agre, except for the Rakatan Ruins, is a bit boring) and get more Force Powers (will also be using Shem's Force Power Levelup mod). |

Posts: 2 | I LOVE this mod, however, as most people said, you missed out a lot of things. Still a Great mod though, hated taris, only liked the duel arena, and the fact that you often used blasters. (I love blasters, especially the WOTOR bendak's blaster)

Posts: 1 | This may work for some of you who have problems (as I did) where Trask does not give the options to skip the Endar Spire or Taris.
Change the Skip Taris.exe so that it runs as administrator.
That fixed the problem for me. |

Posts: 3 | Posting in an ancient comment section, I know, but I have to hope for something...
I've had no previous issues using TSL installer for different things, but this particular TSL installer is missing the entire bottom bar with the "Install" button, essentially making it another text viewing software and not letting me install the mod. I've found other have had this issue, but no working solutions. I've tried running as admin, compatibility mode for every conceivable service pack and Windows release, etc. It's not the download, as I've downloaded it numerous times to confirm that. And, as I've said, I've had TSL installer work for different mods, just not this installer for this mod. No install button. I've also tried tinkering with the changes.ini to no avail.
I'm running 64-bit Win7. If anyone has a solution to this, I'd love to know so I could actually use this mod, but in all likelihood my request for help will be ignored like the countless others in this section. |

Posts: 3 | Just supplemental info, I have the Steam version of KOTOR. I've had other mods work with this version, and this mod does not install with the original or cracked .exe (for widescreen resolutions) in the main directory. |

Posts: 3 | Okay, turns out there's a really simple solution for those of you who may be missing the "Install" button or corresponding bar in the installer. Just hit "alt+s" (the install hotkey) and it should launch the installation normally.
Figures, every time I ask for help on something I usually figure it out just minutes afterwards, and this was no exception. Hopefully this helps some of the others struggling with this little glitch. |
