Tatooine Job Office (2.3) - File Description  


Description:
TimBob12 returns with a modification for the first Knights of the Old Republic game, this is an added content modification, which will allow the player to perform three additional quests on the planet of Tatooine. Essentially the TimBob12 felt that Tatooine was a too mundane a planet so has sought to spice things up somewhat with the introduction of some additional things to do, as well as new items to find and new, relatively tough enemies to be fought. The player will be able to do this by conversing with a Jawa found in the Czerka Office on the said desert planet. he modification is very well executed and it is nice to see that the modder has had a few fellow modders beta test the mod for him to eliminate any bugs found in the modification. All in all this is a well executed modification, and if you were bored with Tatooine or just want to see some additional content this mod could well be for you!

This mod adds a jawa to the Czerka Office on Tatooine who offers you 3 new quests to embark upon.

I created this mod because I thought that Tatooine always seemed a bit dull. This should spice things up a bit with 3 new quests, several new items and some tough fights.

I would like to thank everyone at Holowan Laboratories that have answered all my questions and turned me into a modder. But I would especially like to thank:

Bob Ta'aar
Slstoev

for beta testing and finding no end of bugs that I would never have found.

Also a big thank you to Bob Ta’aar for creating the TSL Patcher for this mod.

In regard to scripts I have decided to leave the Source Scripts available so that other new modders can see how things are done. I have commented all the scripts with what they do and how they work. I am happy for you to use the scripts in any way you want on condition that you leave the //Created By TimBob12 comment at the bottom. That is my only request. If you wish to use any part of this mod in your own mods please ask permission first by either:

This mod adds three new quests to Tatooine along with several NPCs. One of which is a Czerka Jawa who is in the Czerka Office and assigns you the three jobs.


Installation instructions
Just hit the "Install Mod =>"-button in the lower right corner of this window :)!

Note: If you get a warning that any file was skipped because it already existed in your "Override"-folder, then this mod isn't compatible with it.
ONLY exeption: If the file, that was skipped, is called "global.jrl", you can use the JRLMerger to merge your already existing file and the one if this mod (TSLPatcher can't do that).

I have just noticed that somewhere along the line the Manual Installation folder appears to be empty. Therefore I suggest TSL Patcher as it works perfectly.

IGNORE ANY ERROR ABOUT GLOBAL.JRL IT HAS WORKED. ITS JUST MEANS THAT THERE WAS ALREADY AN UPDATED ONE IN THE OVERRIDE.

If you have to install manually then all the files are int the tslpatchdata folder.

Posts: 2 		I just returned to playing KotOR, and I just got to the Tatooine Cantina and Helena wasn't there, when she should've been. Luckily I saved right at the cantina door, so I could do some investigation as to what mod is causing the problem and it was this one. frown Hopefully this can be fixed in a future version because I'm liking it so far.

Posts: 1 		I have got the same problem as the person above me, there is no Helena in the cantina. Also some characters in the swoop galley (or whatever it is called) and the hunters lodge and the Czerka representative have pauses in their speeches alien and basic speeches.

Posts: 3 		I tried to install this mod on my Steam Mac version of KotOR, but it doesn't work. I checked many times, but no Jawa in the Office.
