fixed_workbench_mod (3.1) - File Description  


Description:
Well vanaheim also known as Vanir over at Lucas Forums returns with an update to his Enhanced Workbenches for the second Knights of the Old Republic game, ostensibly what this does is allow you to create weapons and items at work benches, which I'm sure you will agree is a cool and useful tool. However what the author has cleverly done is put restrictions on various items depending on skill value, you may or may not be able to make certain items. For example you will not be able to construct a lightsaber until you are level 15, this updated version fixes an issue with the construction of double-bladed lightsabers, this is all in all a very well thought out and executed modification, and the author fixing errors is always welcome!

Make Armour & lightsabres at the Workbench Mod v3.1
Vanir 15/03

Made changes to the Patcher installation for modders that don't have itemcreate and itemcreatemira 2da files already in their Override. This version can be Patched to the vanilla game without trouble.

Added all basic lightsabres to the construction workbench as well as basic armours.

Changed skill requirements for lightsabre construction. Player must be 15th level and have high skill in areas required for the various class favoured weapon.
Jedi Guardian, Weaponmaster and Sith Marauder can make double sabres and single hilt sabres easily.
Jedi Sentinels, Watchmen and Sith Assassins can make short sabres and single hilt sabres easily.
Jedi Consulars, Masters and Sith Lords can make single hilt sabres easily.

But of course any character may take feats to make the requirements for whichever lightsabre they wish a class skill and all Jedi and Sith can make the standard lightsabre with a class skill (awareness).

It did seem a little silly to have lightsabre construction the same as other items, using the repair skill which Jedi do not typically learn. All Jedi classes and Sith prestige classes learn awareness however, so this is easily the most suitable skill for lightsabre construction.

TSLRCM is better than all the other mods combined. Did you play trough the game with TSLRCM?

I really want to try this version out, but the download link leads to a "Page not found" error on filefront... Shame.
